2003 JUL 14 - (NewsRx.com & NewsRx.net) -- Great-West and Centura Health have announced that they have agreed to expand the availability of Centura hospitals and services to Great-West's PPO members across the Front Range.
Great-West's statewide provider network, One Health Plan of Colorado, expanded its Denver metropolitan PPO network to include Denver-area Centura Health hospitals and a broad array of Centura services. With this addition, all of Great-West's PPO members throughout the state have access to Centura hospitals.
The agreement also enhances the existing relationship between Great-West and Centura to provide Great-West healthcare members in Colorado access to virtually all Centura's specialty services. Members of Great-West's point-of-service (POS) and PPO plans and the One Health Plan HMO have access to Centura Health transplant services, home health, infusion, durable medical equipment, and hospice services. Denver-area Centura hospitals are not included in the HMO and POS networks.
The agreement also features joint initiatives designed for operational excellence and improved service to physicians and patients, including simplified and streamlined medical management processes and more efficient claims payment processes.
