Jun. 16--Colorado's largest provider of workers' compensation insurance has announced an agreement with Centura Health that will expand access to Centura facilities across the Front Range for workers' compensation patients.
The new agreement between Pinnacol Assurance and Centura, which went into effect June 1, means all of Centura's Front Range hospitals and surgery centers are participating in SelectNet, Pinnacol's statewide network of health care professionals that specialize in work-related injuries. Pueblo's St. Mary-Corwin Medical Center and St. Thomas More Hospital in Canon City already were part of SelectNet.
The agreement also includes services offered by Centura Health at Home, the company's hospice and home care division, according to a press release.
'Approximately 50 percent of Colorado businesses now have access to the Centura family of facilities through Pinnacol's network for work-related injuries,' said Jay Picerno, Centura Health executive vice president and chief operating officer.
Parkview Medical Center also has a contract with Pinnacol, but it does not include SelectNet, said hospital spokeswoman Michelle Peulen. Parkview currently is negotiating a new contract with the company and participation in SelectNet is part of the negotiations, she said.
