Centura Health names marketing/planning executive. - Health & Medicine Week

2004 DEC 27 - (NewsRx.com & NewsRx.net) -- Centura Health, Colorado's largest healthcare system, announced that Al Banisch has joined the organization as corporate senior vice president of planning, marketing and communications.

Banisch will lead in critical areas of the overall development of Centura Health's business strategy, including marketing, planning, strategy development, business development, media relations and communications. He also will help develop and execute strategies for positioning and marketing the Centura brand and its family of facilities and services.

'Along with his impressive qualifications, Al's dedication to excellence and integrity in his work and in his community reflect the values of Centura Health,' said Joseph R. Swedish, Centura president and chief executive officer. 'Al's leadership, talent and experience in understanding and meeting the needs of consumers will help Centura to continue to effectively serve the evolving needs of the people of our communities.'

Banisch comes to Centura from Visa U.S.A., Inc., where for the past 4 years he has served as senior vice president for Credit Product Management. Prior to that, he served 12 years with H.J. Heinz in a variety of strategic marketing leadership positions. Banisch earned a B.S. degree and an M.B.A. from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh.

Centura Health operates 12 hospitals, eight senior living residences, medical clinics, and home care and hospice services.
